Director David Cohen discusses Nuremberg trials digitization project

Director David Cohen recently discussed the Center’s joint project to preserve and digitize the archives of the post-WWII Nuremberg war trials with B'nai B'rith International CEO Dan Mariaschin. Watch the interview here.

This past year, the International Court of Justice in The Hague authorized Stanford University Libraries to manage these archives, jointly with our Center, through a generous contribution from Tad Taube and the Taube Philanthropies.

In the interview, David discusses “the unique constellation of resources that Stanford provides, in terms both of the capacity of the Library to permanently preserve a collection like this to make it accessible, and then in partnership with our center to provide a focal point for research and education using these materials.”

According to its website, B’nai B’rith International is “a national and global leader in advancing human rights; Israel advocacy; ensuring access to safe and affordable housing for low-income seniors and advocacy on vital issues concerning seniors and their families; diversity education; improving communities and helping communities in crisis.”
