LGBTI Refugees: Vulnerability and Resilience Event

Violence against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex (LGBTI) and other sexual/gender minorities increases during war and conflict, in post-conflict settings, and during political transitions. LGBTI refugees suffer from a "double stigma" of being both sexual and/or gender minorities as well as refugees. Panel discussion includes Subhi Nahas, Founder and Chairman of the Board, Spectra Project; Dr. Sarah Chynoweth, Handa Center Research Fellow; Amy Weiss, Director, Refugee and Immigrant Services, Jewish Family & Community Services East Bay.
