This past year, the International Court of Justice in The Hague authorized Stanford University Libraries to manage these archives, jointly with our Center, through a generous contribution from Tad Taube and the Taube Philanthropies.

Another Trial, A review of Case 002/02: the second trial of Nuon Chea and Khieu Samphan at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia

The WSD HANDA Center for Human Rights and International Justice at Stanford University, in partnership with the East-West Center (EWC), recently published a comprehensive report on proceedings at Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), also known as the Khmer Rouge Tribunal (KRT). The report, “Another Trial, A review of Case 002/02: the second trial of Nuon Chea and Khieu Samphan at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia,” summarizes the trial of the two surviving senior leaders of Democratic Kampuchea (DK) regime controlled by the Khmer Rouge.
