Kyra Jasper is a junior studying History and minoring in Human Rights. She is a student worker, research assistant for Professor David Cohen, and previous student assistant for the Virtual Tribunals Initiative. She is interested in Southeast Asian judicial reform, an interest she developed while working on digital freedom of speech laws with the Indonesian Institute for an Independent Judiciary (LeIP) on a Human Rights Fellowship in 2018. After developing fluency in Bahasa Indonesia as a 2019 Boren Scholar and 2021 Critical Language Scholarship participant, she continues to work with LeIP and Professor Cohen on developing international human rights trainings and guidebooks for national human rights and judicial institutions in Indonesia.
