Handa Center Offers Short Film Competition for Young Cambodian Filmmakers

Hundreds of articles and books have been written about the Khmer Rouge, and about the legal proceedings at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) -- very often by foreign observers. The Legacy Film Lab gives Cambodian youth the opportunity to tell the history of their country in their own voice and offer and their thoughts on the ECCC in their own words.

Four young filmmakers have now been selected thanks to the quality of their applications, and the originality of their script ideas. These four young filmmakers will have a chance to have their short film produced with the team of Khmer Mekong Films: Prum Sreileak; Sor Virakdara; Seng Reaksmey; and Svey Limeng.
